Hi,

I saw the T2008, the car is more or less ok.

Ok because I know the guy, and less ok because this is a second hand one

I will see if I will buy it or not.

In addition, as some drivers have HOT BODIES cyclone in your club, I have seen this one.

Salut Cedric,

i can´t see the thread you posted without being registratred at petiterc. Is this the very first version of the Cyclone? This car´s pretty "old" and there have been at least two updates, the Cyclone TC and nowadays the TCX.
We have some TCX drivers in our club and actually there are more to come. At least two intend the change the car. Spare parts shouldn´t be a problem. If you want to, you could ask the user "leguan" in this board, he´s going to sell a Cyclone TC.

Either way what car you purchase, you´ll be wellcome to join us here in Bremen!

Yes, lots of spares. Not bad.
But the TC in the pictures doesn´t have a lipo-chassis. You mentioned you´re gonna used these kind of rechargeables and that´s a good idea. So you´ll have to upgrade the TC. But I don´t know, if Hot Bodies offers a lipo-kit?
I know that two guys in our club built one on their own.

This is right, the chassis is not a lipo one but rather a nimh one.

I will drive with lipo accus, as everybody does !
In fact, as I understood, new available chassis has switched to the lipo one, nimh will dead soon.

Most of the drivers in my club have the old configuration exepted the one driving the new T3 2011 from Xray. (so just one).

I do not know whether HB offers a lipo kit.

In fact, my only concern is that this chassis is not dedicated for lipo one (accu installation not closed to the center gravity line, etc) ...

My aim is to run/start on the second hand car, and hence, if ok, to buy a new one (as the price is very expencive compared to a second hand one).

Am I right when saying that some drivers in bremen have Cyclone TC?

You´re right. Some drive an HB Cyclone TC(X). As far as I can remember they were two or three. Or maybe four, I don´t know exactly.
And to answer your quetion about a lipo conversion kit:

I checked with the guy selling the car and she is not equipped with this part.

But, he drove with lipo ...

I can´t see it properly on the photo: Is the lipo taped? There are no fixations for the lipo. In case of an impact, the risk of loosing it is high. Lipo chassis are therefor equipped with small battery holders on the chassis plate to prevent accu movement.

I do not recommend to proceed as it is too.

If I buy it, I will do some attachement fittings, in order to maintain the lipo correctly attached to the car structure.

For "old" chassis, i.e for chassis designed for nimh elements, the drivers of my club maintain the lipo via tape.

Do you proceed in the same way?

I discussed motor and ESC this saturday.

Most of the drivers have 10.5 T motor and the famous Tekin RS PRO.

Even if the motors have less torque and power, with a correct setup of the ESC (powerboost and time arrff I do not remember such a parameter ...) you can easily win more than 30 km/h ...

The tracks are awesome! You´re a lucky club, having such a wonderful, expensive looking "playground".

Motor and ESC: In our club, we all drive the same Motor. Almost everyone take part in the Hobby-Class in the OM-Challenge, a small race-series between some clubs in the region. In the current season (until May) we drive the LRP X-11 17,5 turns motor. ESC is free, but must be used without the high-timing powermodes. Next season starts in October 2011 and then we´ll probably switch to another motor or even a fixed motor-esc-combination.

Thanks, this is right, we are lucky to have 2 beautiful tracks.
Tracks are the property of the town Toulouse ...

Regarding motors, I understand that I should wait to buy the motor and the ESC.

you can hence see that most of them have xray, LRP X12 motor and tekin rs pro.

Another question :

Do you have to pay 6e per sunday (12€ per month) only ? or do you have to pay any other federal licence in addition ??

In france, we should pay a global amount : one part is for the federal licence and the second part is for the club life.

This week, I received a second hand T3 2010 with 2 bodyworks, and lots of spare parts,

this car is almost new !! I'll do some pictures ...

I have scheduled some interviews with my (new) manager ...

So, I have to wait 3 months ... may be in may or june ... for summer.

I do not know, or before, but it is very unlikely !
